Using cutting-edge yet easy-to-use assistive technology, the Connected Living service empowers care recipients to use smart devices in the comfort of their own home to carry out everyday tasks with greater independence.
Their care givers can use the same technology to provide remote monitoring, support and advice. They can use Connected Living to provide the right care at the right time, automate important tasks, and improve everyday life for the people they care for.

Delivered via an intuitive and simple app for mobile and tablet, Connected Living is easy to set up and designed to allow users to choose as much or as little as they need in terms of features and functionality – this app supports the little tasks that can make a big difference to someone’s life.

In just a few touches of a mobile or tablet device users can access the following features:
My Day: Use my day to see what activities the care recipient has planned for each day, their care providers can also see what’s planned, for example ‘Monday: Physiotherapy at 2pm’
Routines: Use the routine function to build a list of activities that the care recipient will do regularly, for example ‘Take tablets at 9am each morning after breakfast’
Calendar: Open the calendar to create appointments and view the shared calendar that both the care recipient and provider use
How To: Use ‘How To’ to create a library of step-based visual guides on how to complete a useful action or task ‘How to cook your favourite chicken casserole’
To do list: Use this list to record activities the care recipient would do that may not be included in their day-to-day routine for example ‘Remember to post grandson’s birthday card’
Shopping list: Use this list to add items that need to be purchased the next time the care recipient goes shopping, for example ‘Buy eggs’
My Talk: Care recipients that may have speech difficulties can use My Talk to communicate with their carer using text, speech and images, they simply input into the app what they’d like to say
Features: Helps the care provider to customise which parts of the Connected Living app their care recipient would benefit from using
Edit mode: Gives the care provider control over which features their care recipient can edit on their own device.

Connected Living provides assistance for the little things that can make a big difference to a care recipient’s world. It also helps care givers deliver support more flexibly while transforming lives – it could just be the reason someone feels better cared for today.
